The Windsor Islamic Association provides comprehensive Islamic marriage (Nikah) services performed by registered Ontario-licensed marriage officiants including Shaykh Mohamed Elshaikh, Aamir Zaidi, Hassan Rkie, and Shaykh Abdelrahman Nabil.
Couples must first obtain a civil marriage licence from the City Hall before the ceremony, bring a valid licence, agreed mahr (dowry), two adult Muslim male witnesses, and the bride’s wali (guardian) to the ceremony, and present proper identification — the officiant then completes the license, records the Nikah in the official register, and submits paperwork to the Office of the Registrar General, with service fees varying for members and non-members and depending on whether the Nikah is at the mosque or elsewhere.
