Auburn Islamic Center provides Nikah services at the masjid according to Islamic Sharia principles. Couples planning to have their Nikah performed at Auburn Masjid should first complete an Alabama Marriage License, then contact the center by email to arrange a date and time and discuss whether they plan to bring guests. Based on availability, the masjid arranges for an elder to serve as the Marriage Officer and conduct the Nikah. After the ceremony, the couple is responsible for completing the required state procedures to have the marriage officially recorded and providing a copy of the recorded Marriage License to the Marriage Officer. Auburn Islamic Center serves the Muslim communities of Auburn, Opelika, and surrounding areas of Lee County, Alabama, and also offers Islamic education, Quran programs, Halaqas, and support for new Muslims.
