El Farouq Islamic Center provides Islamic marriage services for Muslim couples seeking to complete their marriage ceremony at the masjid. Couples must first obtain a valid State of Texas Marriage License and bring the license, valid photo identification, and two witnesses with valid identification on the day of the ceremony. The Sheikh performing the ceremony issues an El Farouq marriage certificate and keeps copies of the required documentation. A $150 masjid fee is also required. Marriage ceremonies are performed at the masjid, and El Farouq staff and committee members cannot serve as witnesses or perform the ceremony outside the masjid.
