Details:
The Islamic Center of Omaha provides Islamic and civil marriage services for Muslim couples. Nikah ceremonies are performed by appointment with the Imam and require the bride, her marriage guardian, groom, and at least two witnesses. Required documentation includes government-issued photo identification and birth certificates, while the couple must also agree on and provide the Mahr. The center provides an Aqd Nikah marriage contract for Islamic marriages. For civil marriage ceremonies, couples must obtain a marriage license before the ceremony and provide the required identification and documentation. The Imam also offers matrimonial support to help facilitate suitable alliances between Muslim brothers and sisters according to Islamic principles. Couples can contact the center’s Religious Affairs department to schedule a marriage appointment.
