The Islamic Center of San Diego – East County (ICSD-EC) provides Islamic marriage services for Muslim couples seeking to complete their marriage ceremony at the center. Couples must provide an original California county marriage license, a driver’s license or official ID, an agreed-upon Mahr, and two Muslim male witnesses. If the bride is Muslim, her guardian (Wali) should be present, or documentation of the guardian’s approval must be provided. The center also requires the groom to be Muslim, while testimonial certification for conversion is available. The marriage fee is $100 when performed at ICSD-EC; an outside ceremony may be possible for $200 if the Imam is available. The center also provides Fatwa and counseling, social services, Islamic burial services, and regular prayers.
