The Nikah Services at Ummah Nabawiah Masjid provide a structured and Shariah-compliant process for conducting Islamic marriages in accordance with Ontario law. Couples are required to first obtain a valid marriage licence from the city before booking their Nikah with one of the registered Imams, who also offer optional pre-marital information sessions explaining the purpose of marriage, roles, and responsibilities in Islam. On the day of the ceremony, the bride, groom, and two witnesses must be physically present, after which the Imam officiates the Nikah, completes and submits the legal documentation, and may issue a Nikah Nama if requested. The masjid ensures that all ceremonies meet both Islamic and legal requirements, and couples can later obtain an official marriage certificate from the province as proof of marriage.
