The Mecca Center in Willowbrook, Illinois, provides Islamic marriage services for Muslim couples. Couples must obtain a valid marriage license from DuPage County, submit the Nikah request form at least seven days before the ceremony, and provide photo identification for both the bride and groom. The ceremony requires the presence of the couple and two adult Muslim male witnesses. A representative is also required if it is the bride’s first marriage. Divorced or widowed brides must provide the relevant legal and Islamic divorce documents or the previous husband’s death certificate. The center offers Nikah services free of charge, although donations are appreciated. Premarital counseling and completion of all required paperwork are necessary before the ceremony.
