The Islamic Community Center of Minnesota (Masjid Al-Iman) provides Marriage and Nikah services according to Islamic Shariah guidelines. The center is licensed by the State of Minnesota to perform marriages, and couples are required to schedule an appointment in advance and obtain a valid Minnesota marriage license. The Nikah process includes bringing the legal marriage certificate, two Muslim male witnesses, the bride’s legal guardian, and an agreed-upon Mahr. An Imam officiates the marriage ceremony, with Dr. Hamdy El-Sawaf listed as a registered marriage officiant. The center also offers family counseling for personal, family, pre-marriage, marriage, and relationship matters, along with Dawah, interfaith dialogue, arbitration, and burial services for the Muslim community.
