Marriage Services (Nikah) at ISNA Canada in Mississauga, Ontario provide Muslim couples with the opportunity to solemnize their marriage in an Islamic and legally recognized way. Couples can book their Nikah ceremony online and have one of ISNA’s imams officiate the ceremony at the mosque, but must first obtain a civil marriage licence from their local City Hall and bring it (along with two pieces of ID) to the imam before the ceremony. The bride’s wali (guardian) and two adult Muslim witnesses are required to be present, and the mahr (bridal gift) should be agreed upon beforehand; guests attending the ceremony are expected to follow mosque etiquette.
The service includes guidance on booking, cancellation, and other related logistics, though Imam fees are separate from venue rental fees.
