Masjid Bilal Ibn Rabah in Lexington, Kentucky, provides Islamic marriage services, including Nikah ceremonies and premarital counseling conducted by the Imam. Couples must obtain a valid Kentucky marriage license no more than 60 days before the ceremony. The marriage process requires the consent of both the bride and groom, a Wali (guardian), two Muslim witnesses, and an agreed-upon Mahr (marriage gift). The Imam may also request the Wali and parents to attend the initial premarital counseling session. Couples must provide at least 2–4 weeks' notice and schedule an appointment in advance. An Islamic marriage contract and certificate are prepared and signed as part of the ceremony.
