Dar Al-Taqwa Islamic Center provides Nikah and marriage services for Muslim couples seeking to conduct their marriage according to Islamic guidelines. The center can facilitate and officiate Nikah ceremonies both at the masjid and throughout the local community. Couples must first submit a valid Howard County, Maryland marriage license for review. A mandatory premarital meeting is then held with the prospective husband, wife, Wali, and Imam before the Nikah date and time are scheduled. At least two witnesses must be present during the ceremony. The service is part of Dar Al-Taqwa’s broader community offerings, which include funeral and burial services, Zakat assistance, spiritual counseling, Quran education, Jumu’ah and daily religious programs, and community services.
