Matrimonial Services at Malton Masjid (Anjuman-E-Anwarul Islam of Malton) provide Islamic Nikah (marriage) ceremonies conducted by the mosque’s licensed Imams, who complete the required legal paperwork to register the marriage in Ontario, and the ceremony may take place at the masjid, a hall, a home, or another approved location.
To arrange a Nikah, couples must obtain a valid marriage licence from any Ontario City Hall beforehand, and bring it to the ceremony; the bride must be represented by a Wali (guardian), two adult male Muslim witnesses are required, the mahr (marital gift) should be agreed upon in advance, and the ceremony follows proper Islamic etiquette, with the service provided at a set fee.
