The Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD) in San Diego, California, offers Islamic Marriage (Nikah) Services for Muslim couples seeking to solemnize their marriage according to Islamic teachings. Couples must obtain a valid California county marriage license before the center can perform the ceremony. Required arrangements include government-issued identification for the couple and witnesses, the bride’s Wali (guardian) or written approval when applicable, an agreed-upon Mahr (marital gift), and two Muslim male witnesses. If couples cannot provide witnesses, ICSD may arrange them upon request. Ceremonies can take place at the center or at an outside venue, subject to the applicable requirements and fees.
