The Islamic Center of Santa Clarita Valley (ICSCV) provides marriage and Nikah services to help Muslim couples complete their Islamic marriage in accordance with Islamic principles and California legal requirements. Couples must obtain a valid California civil marriage license before the Nikah ceremony. The Islamic marriage includes mutual consent, a Wali for the bride, an agreed Mahr, at least two adult Muslim male witnesses, a Nikah Khutbah, and formalization of the marriage contract. The center provides a written Nikah certificate and a complimentary commemorative marriage certificate. Couples can submit a marriage request with information about the bride, groom, Wali, witnesses, Mahr, and preferred ceremony details. The Imam conducts the ceremony after the requirements are reviewed. I CSCV does not charge a fee for performing the Nikah or contract, though donations are welcome.
