Makkah Masjid offers Nikah (Islamic marriage) services for Muslim couples in accordance with Shariah guidelines. Couples must arrange an appointment with the Imam before the Nikah, and the masjid recommends that the parents of both the bride and groom be present or provide their consent if they cannot attend. Required documents include a valid county marriage license or official marriage certificate, valid identification, two Muslim witnesses with identification, and an agreed-upon Mahr. Couples are also required to complete the masjid’s Marriage Form. Makkah Masjid, also known as IDEA (Islamic Directions and Enhancement Association), serves the Muslim communities of Garland, Richardson, and the wider DFW area. Its other services include funeral assistance, family counseling, educational programs, financial aid, free clinic services, matrimonial services, and senior care.
