The Islamic Society of Frederick (ISF) provides Nikah services for Muslim couples seeking to begin their marriage according to Islamic guidelines. The process includes the bride, groom, a wali for the bride, two Muslim witnesses, government-issued identification, and agreement on the mahr. Nikah ceremonies are conducted at the masjid by the ISF Imam or an outside Imam with ISF approval. The ceremony includes confirmation of the marriage contract and mahr, a marriage Khutbah, Dua, and an Islamic marriage certificate or document. ISF can also provide guidance for new Muslims and reverts, including wali-related assistance and witness coordination when needed. Advance scheduling is required. ISF also offers education, Zakat assistance, counseling, New Muslim support, and funeral services.
