Masjid Al-Sabereen is licensed to perform legal Islamic marriage ceremonies for Muslim couples in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Couples must provide a courthouse marriage license, the bride’s Wali, two adult witnesses, and valid photo identification, as well as complete the online registration form. The marriage requires mutual agreement between the bride and groom and an agreed Mahr. Ceremonies are held at the masjid and are scheduled on Sundays between Asr and Maghrib prayers. After the couple, witnesses, and Imam sign the marriage license, the Imam submits it to the official registry and the couple receives a copy. The masjid also recommends premarital counseling with its Imam. Masjid Al-Sabereen has served the Harrisburg Muslim community since its beginnings in 1993 and also offers counseling, funeral services, hospital visitation, and community support.
