The Islamic Center of New England (ICNE) provides Nikah services for Muslim couples seeking to complete their Islamic marriage in accordance with Islamic tradition and Massachusetts requirements. The Nikah is officiated by Imam Abdur Rahman Ahmad and requires both the bride and groom to be Muslim, two Muslim male witnesses, an agreed Mahr, and a valid Massachusetts marriage license. Couples must submit the original marriage license and completed Nikah application at least one week before the ceremony. ICNE also provides marriage certificate documentation, with a fee of $250 for members and $300 for non-members. Couples planning to hold their wedding at the ICNE Sharon facility can also arrange hall rental in advance. ICNE has served the diverse Muslim community of Greater Boston since 1964, with centers in Quincy and Sharon, Massachusetts.
