Al-Farooq Masjid in Atlanta, Georgia, offers Islamic marriage (Nikah) services for Muslim couples who wish to solemnize their marriage according to Islamic teachings. Couples must schedule an appointment with the Imam in advance and obtain a valid legal marriage license from their local county probate court. Both the bride and groom must be Muslim, and the ceremony requires a Muslim Wali (guardian) for the bride and two Muslim witnesses. Couples who have been previously married must inform the Imam before the ceremony. Nikah ceremonies are generally scheduled after congregational prayers, although other times may be arranged with the Imam. The minimum service charge is $350.
