The Islamic Foundation in Villa Park, Illinois, offers Nikah services at its masjid or at an alternative location within the Greater Chicago area. Couples must obtain a valid marriage license from their local county courthouse and provide at least two Muslim male witnesses (the bride’s Wali does not count as one of the witnesses). The Islamic requirements also include the couple’s mutual consent, Mahr, and the bride’s Wali, if available. Couples must submit the online Nikah request form at least two weeks before the ceremony and attend a mandatory premarital counseling session. The administrative fee is $500, with a suggested but optional Imam honorarium of $250. Online, virtual, and phone Nikah ceremonies are not offered.
