Pickering Islamic Centre offers comprehensive funeral services (Janazah services) to support families through the process of burial according to Islamic rites and Ontario regulations. Their Funeral Services team is available 24/7 with a dedicated coordinator and is licensed by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) to provide care.
The services include transportation of the deceased to the centre, ritual washing (ghusl), shrouding (kafan), arranging the burial plot, securing permits, facilitating the Janazah prayer, transporting the body to the cemetery, and coordinating the burial, as well as related documentation and post-burial support.
They can also arrange grave lots and assist with cemetery logistics, ensuring that Islamic funeral rites are carried out with respect and dignity from start to finish.
