The Funeral Services at Darul Imani n Markham, Ontario provide supportive and practical assistance to Muslim families during the time of loss by coordinating key aspects of the Islamic burial process in partnership with the Islamic Society of Markham, including body pick-up from hospital or home, help with required government documentation and forms, ritual washing (ghusl) and shrouding, organizing the Janaza (funeral) prayer, assisting with cemetery burial arrangements and transporting the deceased to the burial site, and issuing proof-of-death certificates for family use, all carried out according to Islamic principles with the mosque’s staff and volunteers guiding families through each step.
