Barrie Mosque provides Islamic funeral support to families during the time of loss through a dedicated Funeral Committee and volunteers, offering full mortuary and ghusl (ritual bathing) facilities on site in accordance with Canadian law, including optional overnight refrigerated body storage, coordination of Salatul Janaza (funeral prayer) in the mosque’s prayer hall, and access to burial space at the Barrie Mosque Muslim Garden at Innisvale Cemetery (with availability subject to residency and management approval); the mosque guides families through the necessary arrangements and payments, and encourages contacting them in advance when possible to ease the process.
