Since 2017, the Pickering Islamic Centre in collaboration of Muslim Seniors of GTA conduct monthly meetings to help men and women over 55 stay socially engaged, physically healthy, and spiritually nourished! Meetings are held the last Sunday of the month at 11:00 am to 1:00pm in the Event Hall with a diversity of topics, chair yoga, refreshments and an opportunity to socialize and stay in touch.
The first Senior Health Fair was held in October 2018 during which various government agencies setup booths to provide information about services available to seniors.
