The Ottawa Muslim Association provides full Islamic funeral services to the Muslim community in the Greater Ottawa area, assisting families from the moment of death through burial by guiding them through the necessary paperwork, arranging transportation of the body, coordinating the ghusl (ritual washing) and takfeen (shrouding), supplying a casket, kafan (shroud), and necessary materials, offering cold storage if burial is delayed, facilitating the Salatul Janazah (funeral prayer) at the mosque, and helping with transport to the cemetery; families can contact the OMA office during business hours or reach the funeral coordinator after hours for immediate support, and volunteers walk families through the burial process according to Islamic tradition with dignity and care.
