Matrimonial & Nikah Services at Pickering Islamic Centre offer both Islamic marriage (Nikah) ceremonies and matchmaking support for Muslims in the community. The mosque’s licensed marriage officer (Imam) conducts Nikah ceremonies, and couples are asked to first obtain a legal marriage licence from City Hall before arranging the Islamic ceremony — the Centre will not turn anyone away for lack of funds.
In addition to performing Nikahs, the Centre runs Matrimonial Services to help eligible single men and women connect by collecting basic profile information (with a small registration fee) so they can be introduced and evaluate compatibility, though verification and background checks are the responsibility of the individuals themselves.
