The Islamic Society Of Guelph provides Islamic funeral services to support local Muslim families at a time of loss, coordinating traditional rites in accordance with Islamic practices — including assistance with body preparation, washing (ghusl) and shrouding (kafan), arranging and scheduling the Janaza (funeral) prayer, helping with burial arrangements in the community’s reserved cemetery plots, and advising on necessary documentation and coordination with cemetery officials — so families can honour their loved ones with dignity and in keeping with their faith.
