The Islamic Center of Hagerstown (ICH) operates a community food pantry that provides bags of food to homeless individuals and people in need. The pantry is open to everyone in the community and is supported through donations from community members. The pantry provides a variety of staple foods, including rice, lentils, flour, canned fruits and vegetables, soup, tuna, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, oatmeal, peanut butter, jelly, cooking oil, sugar, and other essential groceries. The center also accepts donations of needed food items to help keep the pantry stocked. In addition to its Food Pantry, ICH provides immigrant and refugee support through housing, employment, food, transportation, and education assistance, as well as youth and marriage counseling services.
