The East Paris Community Food Pantry provides need-based food assistance and county-wide resource referrals to people in need, regardless of faith or ethnicity. The pantry began serving the surrounding community in June 2012 and partners with ACCESS of West Michigan and Feeding America to provide healthy, non-perishable food. Distribution is available on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 10 AM to 12 PM. Clients must live in the surrounding Kentwood neighborhood or be members of the masjid, with household income generally at or below 200% of the poverty level. The pantry is operated by volunteers, and donations of unopened, non-perishable foods such as canned goods, cereal, pasta, rice, and shelf-stable juice are accepted.
