The Muslim Community Center (MCC) in Silver Spring provides a Food Pantry program to support poor and needy families, as well as verified refugees in the community. The pantry distributes food boxes every month containing essential dry food items for daily needs. During Ramadan and the two Eids, special distributions include additional items such as Halal meat to help families observe these occasions with dignity. The program is available to verified local residents and refugees in need. MCC also welcomes Sadaqah, food and household-item donations, and Zakat ul-Fitr contributions to support the pantry. Volunteers can assist with organizing and distributing food, with training provided for those involved. The Food Pantry is part of MCC’s broader services, which include Janazah services, Zakat assistance, Islamic guidance, a medical clinic, and hall rentals.
