Counseling Services at the Omar Bin Al-Khattab Islamic Center (OBKIC) provide a safe and confidential space for community members seeking support with mental health, relationship issues, grief, stress management, and other personal concerns. The center offers culturally sensitive and faith-informed counseling through trained professionals, including Imam Abdullahi Jaranow, a licensed mental health counselor associate, and Samira Omar, a licensed clinical social worker specializing in areas such as trauma, anxiety, depression, and childhood trauma. Sessions are available for a $50 fee for those who can afford it, while no one is turned away because of financial limitations. Services are generally limited to three sessions per client.
