MCC Al Rahman has been building relationships with different faith communities for more than 30 years through interfaith outreach, dialogue, and collaborative programs across the Twin Cities. The center focuses on building bridges, promoting peace and goodwill, and encouraging understanding between people of different faiths and backgrounds. Interfaith outreach is part of MCC’s broader mission as a religious and spiritual center serving people of all races, ethnicities, and beliefs. The masjid also hosts interfaith lectures, religious education, community service programs, youth and family activities, and social services. MCC Al Rahman began in the early 1990s, with its current 8,000-square-foot masjid officially inaugurated in 1999, and serves the Muslim community in Bloomington and the South Minneapolis suburbs.
