NICSA explains that without a Will, assets may be distributed under U.S. intestacy laws rather than Islamic inheritance principles. The center provides a generic Islamic Will template that individuals can download and recommends having the document reviewed by an attorney. The Will can also address important matters such as legal guardianship for minor children and charitable gifts. NICSA offers this service alongside financial assistance, funeral services, marriage services, counseling, and Islamic arbitration for the San Antonio Muslim community.
