Okba Centre’s Youth Engagement initiative is focused on “planting the seed of Islam in the hearts of our kids” by nurturing a strong Muslim identity through consistent education, mentorship, and involvement in community life. It aims to empower young people by giving them respect, meaningful participation, and opportunities to contribute positively, helping them grow spiritually, socially, and personally.Youth engagement supports the development of positive identity, knowledge and skills, community commitment, cultural awareness, confidence, teamwork, and leadership, while addressing challenges such as lack of mentors or halal recreational options.
The program reflects the centre’s commitment to investing in the next generation’s faith and character in a holistic way.
